Ingatestone

Our client had a very simple brief; please provide us with a new raised terrace, accross the back of the house with a large lean-to canopy for shade.

We gladly obliged and designed a suitable composite deck terrace, punctuated in the centre by a porcelain terrace, to achieve level threshold, the central terrace had to be built over a block and beam system, this enabled the extra height but still allows air flow as required by building regulations, the terrace falls away from the house but also has additional slot drain by the doors.

The detail to the front of the terrace is a reflection of the architecture, The canopy is a Pratic Opera with a rotating louvered roof and vertical blinds for privacy and wind protection at night, we also fitted a solid etched Perspex screen along the boundary.
